My Story

My health coaching journey began after experiencing decades of just never feeling "right." Low energy--physical, emotional, and spiritual--dominated my life and I was finally tired of letting lethargy, and a host of other debilitating health issues, control my life. On my own, I gave up dairy and it had a profoundly positive impact on me. I left an abusive relationship and felt liberated. I knew that there was so much more I could do, beyond doctors and medication, that could help me get to the point of feeling my best on all levels on a regular basis.

I enrolled in the Institute for Integrative Nutrition and made myself Client #1. I learned in more detail about the many aspects of primary foods and how, when they are not in balance, my whole being is unbalanced and dis-eased. I focused on improving the areas of my life that needed help while continuing to tweak my dietary habits to find what works best for me. I made movement a necessity in my daily life (a first for me in my 47+ years) and prioritized meditation and mindfulness to help deal with stress. With all of these changes, I can finally say that I feel great. Not perfect, and constantly improving, but truly better than I have felt in years.

All of this did not happen overnight. I made small changes gradually and built upon each one to see what worked and what didn't.

That's what I help other women do--find the small steps that they can take on their own road of wellness. Every body is different and what works for one may not be right for another. Each small step builds a strong foundation for lasting change. The process may not be quick but it will lead you to the life you want to live.

The bottom line--you can't fix the outside until you heal the inside. And once you heal the inside, the outside will already be fixed.
